Dr. Victoria Revell

Dr Revell is currently a post-doctoral researcher in the Human Chronobiology group at the University of Surrey.

Her research career has focussed on studying the way in which light influences the human circadian system and other non-visual responses such as mood, alertness, performance and aspects of physiology such as heart rate and body temperature.

Her current work is involved in determining the circumstances under which the different types of photopigments contribute to non-visual responses and ultimately, applying this knowledge to optimise light treatment for situations of circadian misalignment such as night shift work and jet lag.

In addition to her research role, Dr Revell is also the co-membership chair for the Society of Light Treatment and Biological Rhythms and a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) Light and Human Health Committee.
