I'm feeling quite low just now despite using my dawn simulator & light box (they do a great job but it's just not quite enough). Im trying to eat healthily as I know from experience that that helps no end but Im not doing as well as I could. Same with exercise. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew what I could take to lift my mood - Im not willing to go an ADs again & cant take St Johns Wort as Im on the pill so I need something compatible with that & as natural as possible - anyone know of anything?

Bananas, raisans, tomatoes, and oats are all mood enhancing foods.New research also suggests dark chocolate.

My new avatar might lift your mood Jen, it certainly worked for me!
You could try high strength omega 3 and/or 5-HTP. I've never tried the latter but the omega certainly has a positive effect on me.

Well I think it will cheer the chaps up and give the gals something to aspire to.....(joke)
It's not the usual cliche of a sun burst or smiley face but I think a young womans body is one of the most beautiful sights in the natural world.

Haha, OBE it certainly made me smile anyway!
I started taking Omega 3 again a few days ago so we'll see how that goes!

Hadrian - dark chocolate is easy enough, will have to push myself to eat bananas & tomatoes though!

Why not kill 2 birds with one stone and try those new banatoes, they're apparently very tasty!

The best thing in the world I have found to combat low mood is ......

Exercise!!!!!!!!!!

I go for a 20 minute run say 4 times a week (I have to drag myself there!) and the feeling you get afterwards is second to non , as you exercise you increase your oxygen intake, and all parts of your body get re-gassed with it , aswell as that the body releases "endorphins" the bodies natural painkiller , and this gives you a sense of well being ,
Honestly trust me , it does work , the more regulary you do it the more benefit you get from it :0) it just depends whether or not you have the will power to drag yourself to do it or not :0)

Agree with Marky about the excercise by the way,but for me I tend to feel the benefit the day after as opposed to straight after.

Yes, googled Scott Walker. Been around a while, hasn't he?

Opinion varies on popular hair colour. My dd doesn't like me blonde, but I do get a lot of nice comments about blonde, when I'm blonde.
