Dear all
(especially those of you living in the mersey/cheshire area).
I have come across a great form of excercise which is really putting me on a high and keeping me going at the moment: If you are enjoying "strictly come dancing" and wish you could do it yourself I have the answer. At the beginning of August I joined a "Swing Roc" class. My husband does not dance and I have always wanted to be able to go out "proper" dancing, i.e.with a partner. My friend intoduced me to Swing Roc.It is a modern Jive class done to modern music. Really easy to learn for women (harder for men as they have to lead). You don't need a partner as you "share" partners all night with everyone asking everyone else to dance and the teacher moving everyone around during the lesson. Two lesson sessions then freestyle social for the rest of the evening. You will be dancing by the end og=f the first night. It is held in Haydock, Alford hall in Warrington (Manchester rd) and at Grappenhall. Visit www.swingroc.co.uk for more info and WWW.danceyourselfdizzy.co.uk to see the online tutoral of the same style of dancing and what it is all about. Other lessons in other placed nationwide exist but may be called something differente.g. ceroc, modern jive, leroc.
Purplecrab and Suzie do you fancy it?
We really need to meet up sometime.

I have to agree with this s we are all aware of the benefits of exercise, but at this time of year is the gym really worth the effort!. I go salsa dancing, just as energetic but heaps more fun and you do actually learn something at the same time. I do cuban salsa, it is very fast and you dont need a partner and the music gets your head free! jen

I absolutely luurrrrve dancing, especially salsa and latin american. I used to do it a few years ago and really enjoyed the energy of it.

Unfortunately I can't do anything that active anymore because of my ME. Have to be a bit more sedate now lol
