Is any one else suffering from this illness, and considering light therapy?I can spend days in bed, downing prescribed pain killers.I never feel as if I have enough energy to make a cup of decaf tea, never mind doing any house work.It has been over 17 years since I have been able to work. My life is not like it used to be.AnneH

I have fibromyalgia and severe SAD. I have to throw the book at the depression, antidepressant, plus supplements, plus extra St. John's Wort and a whole lot of self talk. I added light therapy a few years ago and it really helped w/ energy levels, more regular bowels and day time sleepiness. I think its helped the overall sleep disorder part that comes from both FM and SAD. So it might help FM for you.

Do you actually have SAD as well?

My heart goes out to you, it a horrible combo. For for myself, if I got a majic wand that could only zap one, I'd zap the SAD hands down.
