Hi,

My name is Gillian. I am a fourth year Sociology student and I am researching Seasonal Affective Disorder as part of my dissertation.

I am particularly interested in the lifestyle changes which are undertaken over the months that the effects of SAD are the most prominent.

I would be very grateful if anyone would like to share their experiences. Contact will be made through email. All information will be anonymous and will not be used for publication.

There is no gender or age specification so anyone who suffers from SAD would be very welcome to contribute.

Please let me know as soon as possible if this is of interest to anyone.

Thank you very much,
Gillian

I too would be happy to take part Gillian. You actually have one of the only two SAD clinics in Aberdeen. My family live there so I know how dark and dismal it is in the winter. I wonder if part of it is all the grey buildings just makes it look darker. Loverly place though.

SAD clinic?

I don't think there is such a thing here in the US. What services do they offer?

Well, it's a start. I'd imagine they'd also be doing some research. Surely they'd be collecting patient data.

I keep thinking someone's going to get this "figured out" and find something that will keep us from just slogging along each winter... I know things have got to get better than this!

Have received questionnaire and started to fill it in. Will have to return at a time when I'm less tired. If you haven't had it by your deadline, then please free to email a reminder. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who wouldn't be offended by a reminder LOL!

No problem at all! I'd be happy to send reminders. I'd glad you've received them.

Any information you can give will be gratefully received so don't worry if it's not completed when returned.
