I'm giving up, I've tried so hard, it's nearly mid-November and I've made it this far but I can't do it any more. I keep taking too many tablets (Fluoxetine) and trying to just soldier on but I can't. I don't know what to do, I'm stuck.

Have you got someone you can talk to Gemmzie, if noone close, then your GP or the Samaritans? Maybe Fluoxetine isn't the drug best suited to your needs, I gave up with it (in a controlled way) last winter and tried something else that ended up suiting me much better. If you aren't getting a therapeutic effect from your med, then you should talk to your GP.

Hi Gemmzie, Please go back to your doctor and tell him how you feel, as Purplelvy said the tablets may not suit you. it really is important to talk about this, many medical centres have access to a councillor and this can be very helpful, please keep posting Gemmzie and let us know how you get on.

Come on Gemmzie, keep your chin up. Stay with us, we know what you are going through and will support you all the way.

Great advice from the other guys, go back to your GP asap please. I couldn't take Fluoxetine, they made me worse. There are other alternatives out there, including coming on here and writing how you are feeling. I find it does help.

Good luck hunny and please keep in touch, cause we do care xxx

Hi Gemmzie, I've only just read this as I was away at the weekend.

This time of year is tough and I can imagine how bad you are feeling. As the others have said, do go and talk to your GP or another one at the surgery if you don't feel you're getting the help you need.

Hope things feel better for you soon xxx
