Does anyone, like me, keep feeling paranoid. Since the clocks have changed - I'm all over the place, can't sleep, think everyone is plotting against me, can't laugh, keep crying, tired, fed-up, don't want to go out.... I am NOT this person from March-September...I am doing something about it - have just ordered a lamp and am taking 5-HTP which todate don't appear to have helped (been taking them for about 3 weeks now). I want to look forward to Christmas, but never do, dread the Christmas shopping for the kids, get angry at everyone for making wish lists when all I wish, is that I didn't feel so horrible..... :-( Roll on dafodills....

HI puddleshy, know how you feel, the clocks go back and suddenly everything seems grey. Christmas, well I want to enjoy it, but find I just get more and more stress, and just plain miserable. This year im buying as much as possible on line, hopefully that might make it less stressful.

Going to work when you're feeling paranoid is just awful...

I've been like that all week long and don't know how to snap out of it. I have been using my light.

I just try to keep my mouth shut and keep to myself when I'm really bad. :(

Same here. I sort of told my boss I was 'p***ed off yesterday and had a moan about the other girls. I felt they were not being very helpful as it is a new job for me and they wouldn't give me the info I needed.

Felt really guilty today and bought them both a little pressie to ease my guilt!

I didn't even bother going to work last Friday I felt so awful! I also didn't even care and was on the verge of saying "SACK ME"! Then at least that way I could sleep and wake up and set my alarm for spring!!!! Good idea about online chrismas shopping Paulst - will consider that!!!

Thats great Paulst, hopefully it would make a difference to your health.

I get like that Puddleshy, before I even get to work I am thinking if I have to put up with c**p today I am just gonna say 'shove your job'.......

So irrational.........

I've just been really nasty to my fella - not a good start to the day - good morning. Off to work now after the school run with a "sack me" attitude AGAIN!!!! I told my partner that I may not even bother coming home tonight - not even sure what I mean by that! :-( I guess yoga was a temporary distraction last night!

Never a good start to the day is it? If you are driving put on some feelgood music and take a few deep breaths. Call a friend or come on here and vent your frustration. Then once you have calmed down if it was your fault and you only argued cause of the way you feel give hime a ring and tell him you love him.

Go home after work and give each other a hug....

God I wish I could take my own advice lol!!!

Try and have a good day

Hugs

Thanks Suzie - got to work and text him to say sorry. I hit a few curbs on the way to work cos my tears were blurring the way ahead and I had no tissues - what a joke isn't it!!!

Don't we ALL wish we could take our own advice!

Have a good day.

My brightlight Desklamp arrived this morning I shall start using it this afternoon!! Yipeeeeeeeeee..... I hope it is the right one for me. I'm sort of thinking I should have got a smaller one now as this is not very portable???

I struggled to find a portable lightbox when I looked two years ago and ended up having to buy a light visor as well as my desklight.

Hi piglet, well I will see how I get on with it! I saw the visor in the booklet that came with it - are they good?

I really like the visor although I do feel a bit of a prat wearing it! OH is sensitive enough to know that laughing at me is not conducive to a happy home life!

I do find that I get a better blast of light from the visor, I use a tasklight at work and for various reasons I'm not completely sure I'm getting enough good light because I can't have it in the optimum location.

I've just (today) started making the effort to wake up a little earlier so that I can use the visor before getting up - I don't feel any better today but I'll keep it up for a while.

I'm glad I bought it, it's very straightforward for travelling - I have been known to use it in the car when OH is driving! You can wander around when you are wearing it as long as the light levels around you are bright - if it's dim around you, it's very difficult to see anything once the visor is on so be careful!
