Lots of discussion of symptoms, but I'm noticing one symptom is standing out for me.

It feels like I've been at work FOREVER today. Something that happened at noon today feels like it happened a day ago... at least!

The trolley ride home is torturous anymore. When I get on the trolley, the sun is setting. By the time I'm about 1/2-way home, it's pitch-dark outside.

I've gotten so antsy and miserable that I just want to get off the trolley so badly.

Anyone else? And maybe it's just because I'm tired. Everything seems out-of-whack when I'm tired.

I'm having real concentration problems because it just feels like the day is dragging on forever.

PS - I'm not the only one in my office who is suffering, apparently. A co-worker I really respect, thought was invincible sent an email about the percentage of sunny days in different US cities. She admitted yesterday to sometimes feeling unimportant even though she's in leadership... She was so sincere. Anyhow, for anyone in the US:

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/online/ccd/pctposrank.txt

(I live in Pittsburgh, PA - 45%)

Wish I could talk to my co-worker openly about SAD, though I wonder if she doesn't know because my boss may have told her. Part of me wants to believe she's being sympathetic or commissorating with me but her email was to everyone in the office.

-- if it wasn't for you guys, I'd be really alone in all this!

I know how you feel!! Yesterday lasted forever and I achieved very little. I need to pull my socks up as my work is piling up and my figures are really poor and that does nothing for my already struggling self esteem :-(

I am having quite a bad week this week all in all, no energy, no motivation and feeling very down...

Piglet, I have had the worst week at work this week too.

I work for a small company that involves a lot of customer contact, and it has been a real struggle. I had bitten a few peoples heads off this week.

It feels like I have been at work for 3 weeks without a break and it's still not Friday!

Time perception and concentration have totally gone out the window for me at the moment.

Last night I was writing a birthday card for my brother-in-law and I wrote in it "to my darling" and we have never even got on with each other before!

The worst part was when I woke up this morning I found the sellotape in the fridge. Do you think I need help? :-)

Oh Jo, sounds very familiar to me.

You made me smile though. I can never find anything in this house. I have a place for everything, but I'll be happy if I ever knew where those places were.

I am eventually getting to the end of the day, with more jobs needing doing than at the start. And the idea of cooking a big meal seems impossible, but I am going to try.

When the smoke alarm goes off, my kids coming running. They used to make a dash for the front door, nowadays, they plonk themselves at the table.

Our little mishaps and stories and feelings are such that we can all relate to and keep each other going you know.

Chin up flower.

I'm re-reading my post. It's pretty scattered. I was climbing the walls when I wrote it. So restless that I wanted out of my own skin! Perhaps that would have been a good time to take a deep breath, take a walk and then get back to work.

Me, that's so funny about the smoke alarm! I had to take mine down, but I'm sure that wasn't the right thing to do. Especially when I almost caught the cabinets on fire while making spaghetti.

I know just what you mean!

I had a good start to my day. Did a little exercise and stretches and being more thoughtful about planning meals. I had a fantastic sleep last night as I did a little exercise last night and laid down. My eating has been horrendous and I'm up to 210lbs, which is affecting my asthma and joints. I've been so miserable about the weight.

Wait a minute. I'm rambling again. Sorry folks! I'll go eat my whole-wheat Eggos.

I put it in a small pot of boiling water rather than breaking it up or using a big pot. Left it hang over the side, thinking it will soften and slide into the boiling water.

Instead, the ends that were sticking out bent downward and caught fire from the burner. I smelled something really funny and by that time, the flames were licking my cabinets!

You are all making me smile now :-)

I'm glad that I'm not the only one doing dizzy things at the moment!

When I go home I think I will remove the sellotape from the fridge, wonder where I will find it tomorrow? Maybe the oven?

Have just done the daftest thing at work, made everyone a cup of tea, but forgot to put teabags in the teapot, mmm nice cup of hot water then!

God I feel silly, but I think you have to smile at yourself and laugh about it otherwise I think it would make you feel even worse.

I get the feeling that everyone is feeling a little brighter today?

I'm notorious at work for having cups of once-hot water on my desk. Or leaving my teabag steep for 30 minutes.

I just tell everyone I like my tea *real* strong or "super subtle" like water.

I'm in a happier mood because I took tomorrow off work.

I constantly boil the kettle but forget to put it in the pot. If I actually remember then I nearly always get cold stewed tea. In fact I think I have one downstairs now.

If I do manage to make a cup, I always, always, leave half a cup - strange.

I always thought that was because I never crave for tea. Now I think I know otherwise.

Funny how I never forget the biscuits though!

I remember being in work and getting a microwave meal. Went to put it in the microwave but it wasn't there. Went out to ask where it had gone and one of the girls came back in and said it's there, where it has always been. I was staring at the thing but just couldn't register that it was a microwave!!!

I seem to suffer from a nervous twitch, I was eating a yoghurt at lunchtime a few months ago, when suddenly it happened, my yoghurt pot shot out of my hand and splattered against the staffroom wall and covered several people with a healthy portion of strawberry yoghurt. I havent had the nerve to eat any more at work yet.
