Yeah, I wish. Did the sums last night for our building project. Seems like sunshine may not be on the holiday menu this year. My kitchen designer told me yesterday he's holidaying in Galapagos/Machu Pichu..... I was going greeeeeen!

Dream Chaps! If you could book a holiday to go within the next month, WHERE would you go? Money no object of course.

Shall I go first?

Hmmmm will have to think for a bit! No I won't! My friend was here from Australia last week. She's missing all her friends in England. I'd like to defer for a few weeks and spend a month there over Christmas/January

Although money is no object mine would still be Pahos, Cyprus. It's not just the warmth and sunshine but the laid back way of life, so relaxing.

I have to say that I would go back to Turkey. I went there in September, it was hot, relaxing and the people are so friendly.

I had best time of my life there and I try to keep thinking about that when I feel at my worst.

Bird-watching in South America, maybe!

One of the things that's had me down lately is that I don't hear the birds anymore because they're not active when it's dark out.

Hmm, ive always enjoyed the Canary Islands, so I think I would go to one of the more laid back resorts and get lots of sunshine.

Egypt Egypt Egypt!!!!! Love the place the sun and the archaeology (I'm a bit of a geek that way).

Been 2 Januaries in a row (tho sadly can't afford this year) and each year felt happy and summer-sandy-like almost as soon as I walked off the plane!

Like sandyb, I would recommend Egypt, specifically the Sinai peninsular- Sharm or Taba. The light intensity there in December and January is about the highest you will get. For a SAD-treatment holiday its tops.

1st time ive been on this site, I'm amazed at how many people are suffering like me.Fortunately i'm a dog lover so i have to go out for a walk even if i don't feel like it,but it is well worth it after I've been.Thurs was a nice day sat in a field looking at the sunshine even if it was cold.wish we had sunny winters like we used to.Not these dull miserable days.I think i'll get one of those lightboxes that Ive heard about,Are they any good and do you have to buy the most expensive?they vary between £30-£200.

Hi welcome, there is lots of advice about lightboxes on the forum, I have a light which cost £130 and is very useful.Several people on here have different lights and all seem to find them really good for the symptoms of sad.

Would go to Broadway in New York to see a couple of shows - I'm kind of a musical nut... Hence the pic of Broadway at night in my profile!
