EDIT: I meant MORE functional in the evening!!!

Anyone else here find you spend all day firstly bemoaning getting up, then mooching about and generally not achieving much all day? Then when the evening comes, you start wanting to get on and do stuff?

That's me today. Quite content today, busy doing nothing. I think I needed the break. But the work I was supposed to do today didn't get done, I just couldn't get round to doing it. Yet here I am nearly bedtime and I have just finished a couple of hours work. And I feel I could do more! But can't as I have to be up at 6 tomorrow... Is this common?

Hey Faeire9

I think that's very common. I'm sure I've read somewhere that it's to do with most of our circadian clocks running at 25 hours rather than 24 hours. In summer the light cues help to reset it to 24 every day, but in winter we're missing the cues and every day we become alert later unless we're reset. Although I may have remembered that completely incorrectly!

I always, always feel like I'm fighting the clock. Just another hour... I need just one more hour... Where does the time GO!?

Nope not for me, I find it almost impossible to do anything in the evenings. Although I find the daytimes nearly as bad but my boss objects if I do nothing all day!

I'm on a real cycle. I sleep a lot one day and am fantastically productive the next... then a day or two later, I sleep a lot...

Yes Amalthea, ive been good all week then at the weekend, I slept till 1pm on Saturday, and found myself sound off to sleep on the sofa on Sunday afternoon - the kids were making a right racket, but on I dozed.

Over the years, I conclude that my life revolves around about a 20 hour day. So by the end of the week, I can be totally out of senq.

I don't seem to have too much trouble identifying a pattern... I'm usually pooped by the evening!
