Hello
I couldn't sleep coz I was thinking of all the reasons why I've been down lately. I've been blaming it on silly little things like work and boy issues when i know deep down that if it was summer now I wouldn't care about them.
If I could click my fingers and it was spring I know I'd be happy instantly.
Just think of this
The sun high in the sky, nothing but blue sky, daffodils, blossom, bright green trees, birds singing, the sound of people cutting the grass, people wearing t-shirts, shorts and sandals, the windows and doors open letting in a warm breeze, I could just cry with desperation for it to be when that all happens. Only 17ish weeks to go before the clocks go forward.

Crystal

Its quite normal to have some probs getting to sleep with SAD. For me that is one of the first signs that winter is upon us.

Try not to worry about things too much though. Your batteries are low, and you need to recharge. Start by trying to do just one of the things that you body tells you not to do - Walking will be brill for you, I really understand that it is a struggle somedays.

When you have recharged, your glass will be half full, as opposed to half-empty (or completely empty as I have found at times).

Just trying to take control a little, may help you.

Also remember, that most of us here dont feel good enough to follow our own advice at times....

I find taking the seasons a step at a time helps. Before the flip-flop season, comes Spring when daffodils and Bluebells grow. Before Spring comes the Crocuses and before that come those fantastic little snowdrops which always give me hope. Last year they were out just after Christmas. (Talk about 'flower-power'!!! hhahaha)

Take care

Crystal, sounds like heaven, I'm longing for Spring! Me, I think that's such a good idea about taking the seasons a step at a time. When I think about Summer it feels like we'll never get there, but waiting for the snowdrops and crocuses feels much more accessible. At that time of year I can sense Spring in the air and it gives me hope.
