Gonna need some support from ya all today...

That SAD map has been purple for soooooo long./.....

The kids are still ill, but going back to school tomorrow. So I havent been out for two days.........;fkjlgj;akfjo;seijf;kjhf;ewHF. Never mind seen anyone.

The weather is totally awful outside. Talk about 'strong NE breeze. I can reliably inform you that it is nothing of the sort. Its gale force out there, and very wet......dslkfjlsekheskjf;dsih

Looking forward to the sleet tomorrow....kfskdj;ksdj;ksdj

And to add insult to injury, just when I really can not take anymore...

My child missed the audition today at school for the christmas play. I havent told him. Ive just phoned up the school to tell them to bare him in mind. Just been told that 'Thats Life' and he wont be considered as its gonna be on the tele. You know i NEARLY FLEW FOR HER. Hes only 7 for goodness sake, and is gonna be totally, totally, totally devastated. Its all he wants to do. Been going on about it for weeks. Hes wanted to be on the stage, as a profession, for years already, and will be joining stage school shortly.

Havent the heart to tell him. Its eating me up.

skdjflweekjfskjkjeks jsjskj

Argghghghg

Close to tears now and close to becoming reclusive again. Am not strong enough to take these knocks. Just want to sleep for a hundred years.

Thanks guys.
I feel the need to apologise for passing my frustrations and sadness on to yourselves. Im feeling really guilty now. And those tears have arrived.

Dont worry, I know its just my SAD messing with my head again.

Am gonna be busy tomorrow - got an emergency step class booked, cause if i dont lift my mood soon i'll burst. Now you know why I rave on about exercise so much.

Hugs all

Best of everything to you flower.

Lets just hope we're generously passing this bad feeling from one to another, and tomorrow will be better for you. Id gladly take my turn if I knew it would help another.

Passing it on eh? I guess sharing it about is better than all suffering all the time!

I'm now feeling much better. Went for a lovely long walk with my dogs this afternoon, and made an ultra nutritious lasagne, and feeling good. Could do with another 2 days of weekend though! Is it monday coming up already?!!

Me & Faerie, sorry you're both having a tough time. You're right... it's partly your "SAD" brain at work. It's good to treat yourself to a nice walk, or a hot soak in the tub, or a trip out to the movies.

I did some yoga at 6am this morning. I wish I could bring myself to do this every morning... my joint pain is greatly eased and I feel energized.

Tell me about this lasagna! :)

I guess other people's SAD is topsy turvy too, as in real bad one day, pretty good the next and on and on in various combinations.

I'm so sorry anyone else has to go through this. I'm counting down the days until the winter solstice, its usually uphill from there for me since I start symptoms earlier than many.

paulst, I get up for work at 5am. I start work at 7:30am.

I could *probably* wake up at 5:30am, which would give me an hour to get ready before I had to catch the trolley...

... but if I did, I know there would be days I couldn't get out of bed. I think I'm physically incapable of rushing in the mornings, with my joint troubles. It's better I give myself the extra time.

Can't imagine how I'd fair with the SAD if I slept in and then had to rush. I'd probably walk in with toothpaste on my forehead. Actually, before I got my SAD lamp, there were a few days where my pants were backwards... never as bad as the day my pants were INSIDE OUT. (Grrr!)

I hope you aren't serious about the pants thing. But either way it gave me a chuckle.

Oh no, Jeanne. I wish I was joking.

I had ridden the bus in the morning and been at work for at least an hour (maybe longer) when I realized that the inside seams of my pants were... on the outside.

It was deep winter. (Also, this was the winter I decided to get my first SAD lamp!)

Paulst, I go to bed at 9pm at night. When SAD starts getting bad, I may go to bed at 8pm and there are days I come home from work and just go straight to bed (about once a week).

Hi ya guys.

My body clocks waking me up at 4.00am. Dont understand why. My health encyclopedia tells me that im waking up during my 'lung replenisment time'. Doesnt ring true.
However, it does say 'our evoluntionary ancestors benefited by sleeping longer hours and keeping their metabolic rate low in winter when food was less abundant but could enjoy longer periods of wakefulness through the summer when nature produced its bounty.' So maybe I should look into it abit more seriously.

What a time to get up intentionally Amalthea. Extremely well done flower. After one week, I think my whole world would be more unsidedown than it normally is. Amazing.

Dont know if I could follow the cinema option listed above. Its too dark in there, and I normally fall asleep about half way through. Because there are so many trailers these days, I bearly get past the start of the film. Im the same at night clubs. I dont drink much alcohol, so after a couple of cokes you can bet your bottom dollar that i'll be asleep in the corner. I must of looked sloshed. Dont go to places like that now.

Went to see Take That, yesterday. Nearly fell asleep during Sophie Ellis Bextor. Nothing to do with her singing, may I add. The show was brilliant. Well worth the hastle of mingling with thousands of others in the dark, just the scenario that I would normally hide from.

Im still enjoying my yoga. Only doing once a week, but I might get a dvd or something to do at home. Body doesnt arf get stiff with it. But am seeing the benefits now.

Might go for a run, or swim today.

Have a good day guys.

I like pilates. It's a very effective workout... and challenging. It did a lot to strengthen my belly muscles and probably did a lot of good for my back troubles.

Sorry to rant - having a bit of a bad day today... had real problems getting up this morning and now I'm at work not really getting a huge amount done - just letting things get on top of me a bit. I'm just so tired and all I wanna do is crawl back into my bed again and not have to speak to anyone/ do anything.
The weather is really bad today too...

Hi Kaz

Sending you hugs......

Hope you are feeling better once you get home. Don't beat yourself up about having an off day, we all have them. You can do tomorrow what you haven't done today.

I usually hit a wall with the tiredness (espeecially having ME as well) and have a day when I do absolutely nothing and try to recharge my batteries. It does help sometimes x

Looks like its your turn today Kaz.

Dont worry too much it'll be our turn very shortly. My (strange) idea of passing our bad days on to each other in turn seems to help me come to terms with my bad days.

We would be boring if our moods were level all the time, even if thats really what we want.

Hang in there, Kaz. Have you changed your treatment routine at all lately?

Sometimes these bad days do happen (as they would if we didn't have SAD to make them that much harder to deal with! Grr!). Sometimes there's something we could be doing to help ourselves out a little (even just giving yourself a treat of some sort when you're feeling down, or going for a walk -- anything that's an enjoyable escape from routine).

I'll be thinking of you.

Youve just reminded me of my pet hate. When you go to group meetings and you dont know the people around you - you generally have to introduce yourselves. I really find it incredibly hard, even to the point of hate, when we have to talk to someone for a period of time about themselves, then arrghgh you are told to introduce that person to the group. I can be blowed if I can remember her name never mind anything else...
