Hi i have just been told by my doctor that i am suffering from S.A.D. I have been on tablets for a year now.At the minute i feel like i am losing my mind i just want the world to go away. i have three children to try and cope with. Can anyone help by letting me know how i can help myself. Many thanks

You will get through it - just remember winter doesnt last forever, as much as it seems like it now.

Have you got a lightbox? If not, get one - it's the only thing that really gets me through winter! I also love my dawn simulator to get me up in the mornings.

Exercise & a healthy diet will help too.

Sorry my brains all over the place right now so I cant think of anything else but Im sure others will have some ideas!

I think I would start by hiring a lightbox to see if it helps.

If you look at the different threads here you will see that there are many things that people do to try and help themselves.

I think you will find that Lumie, who run this site can arrange for you to trial a lamp.

Good advice about the lightbox, mine is a small portable but has helped me enormously in getting through the darker months of the year. I hope you keep in touch.
