Anyone ever taken lofepramine? I have been taking it now for nearly 3 weeks (despite my dislike of taking medications) and recently began having panic attacks which I have not had for many years, and never as severe as these have been. The past few days I have been living in a constant state of anxiety and I think the medication could be the cause. I do know that the past few days have been hell!

I am off to see the doctor this afternoon to see what he thinks, hoping he will be able to do something for me :-)

Hi Josh

Keep communicating with your GP and hopefully you will get it right. Lots of us don't get it right the first time.

Hi,

Well my doc was off today so I saw the doc I used to be registered with - who is fantastic. He has switched me to sertraline so I will give that a whirl and see how that works out - third time lucky I hope (prior to lofepramine I tried citalopram but had a reaction to them so they only lasted a day!)

Anyway, fingers crossed, plus toes...

Good luck Josh. Just make sure you go straight back should they not suit you. I used sertraline for six years but unfortunately then developed an allergy to them and had to come off them. Keep in touch and let us know how things are going.
