Not really the first sign of Spring, but when the snowdrops are in full bloom,I start to think about the days getting longer.

I hav`nt seen any spring flowers yet, but i was suprized to find a poppy growing in the garden, and if it wasn`t for the harsh wind up here ,a lot of my garden would still have the summer flowers still growing, but we also have a tree at the side well baby tree really, and although it still has green leaves in it you can see the buds coming through on next years growth and we have little yellow flowers on them very early spring and although they only last a few weeks they i know spring is on the way, but I`mlike paul, see the snowdrops just peeking through, i know i`m gonna start to feel better.
cos we`ve only had a garden for 2 years, I used to use the local park as my garden, walking the doggies, I can always notice the seasons by the flowers and shrubs, so i took pictures of the snowdrops, paul i hope you can understand what i mean lf nobody else does, lol

Here's a motivational thought for you all.... 18 more days to the shortest day of the year then it starts getting lighter in the evenings. Woo hoo! 18 days to go, 18 days to go ... :o)

30 degrees with 40-50mph winds here...

The SAD was edging in on me. Intrusive thoughts, lack of energy... and well, intrusive thoughts.

I got some good sleep last night and am feeling considerably better than when I posted last night. I had gone to the hair-dresser's last night and gotten my hair dyed. I was in a bit of a funk because the hair color ended up being a big adjustment. It's a light red, when I usually wear my hair a dark brownish red.

It's not that I look bad... It's just an adjustment and I didn't need to throw myself a curve ball by picking a color so dramatically different right now when I tend to be hyper-critical anyhow.

So, this morning I woke and did dishes and cleaned off my countertops. It's a good start!
