When my husband retires the 3 of us including the dog are going to Texas for the winter. It is sunny and warm most of the time. I have been all over the USA on a motorcycle (on the back) but have never been to Texas. Hoping it will help with the Sad.

Yes we mean in Winter. Texas USA is warm and Sunny. I was at my parents today. In the middle of talking about the holidays. I said what I would like is a holiday where it was warm and sunny. My dad said that could be arranged. Then a friend of ours that lives in Arazonia called. He and his wife broke up and he has to sell his house so he can move back home to wisconsin USA. I told him I would come down and look after his house if he needed me to. Sunny warm 90 degress. He said come on down. Well now I have to do some thinking. This could really help me and him. But I don't want to leave Hubby and the dog alone.

I went to Cyprus in March one year and it was hot and sunny, lovely. It was like a miracle cure, I came back to the UK feeling revived and energised, whereas I usually only start to feel like that in May.

the altitude of the sun of the sun is a factor too because the higher the sun is the more uv rays which release dopamine in the brain which makes you feel good so even if its sunny in winter the effect is not that strong because the uv rays are weak and we are covered from head to toe in winter clothes!

Ithink the average temp during the day in the Canaries is 65+ in the Winter, not hot but much better than England.
