I just had a sleep study and I ought to be resting in my own bed. It wasn't a positive experience and I don't know if I'll trust the results. They had me sleeping in a hospital bed, in a hospital room, with wires coming off me and this awful tubing thing in my nose... I don't think I slept half the night and I got mad at myself for not being able to relax!
I'll get some sleep and things will look better, then. At some point, I did a little relaxation technique (some mental visualization) and I slowed my breathing and I did end up falling into a deeper sleep. I only hope it was enough to give them some results we can use!
Other than that, I've been doing OK. These doctor visits have given me a sense of purpose and a determination to get better. Now that I know that fibromyalgia might be my problem (as well as SAD and arthritis), maybe we'll be on track to getting me some decent sleep in the wintertime!
