Hi: I started using a Pharox max light box 3 weeks ago for 30 mins. first thing in the a.m. After the first week I felt much better i.e. more positive! After 2 weeks I started to get headaches, feel nausea. Don't feel very positive anymore. Wondering if you have any suggestions? Cut back my time from 30 to 20 mins. this a.m. and nausea, headache seem to be gone but still not feeling very positive. Thinking of returning the light box and maybe getting a Visor?

I don't know that model--is it an LED? Because people have reported those results with LEDs.

If this "Pharox" is an LED, then that might be your problem, and switching to fluorescent should help. You will not regret the move--fluorescents are much prettier.

If yours is a fluorescent, then I don't know what to say.....you could try dawn simulation with an incandescent. That is known to help depression. I have a sunUp dawn simulator and I highly recommend it.

Thanks for your help Knoop! Light box is fluorescent. Feeling much better now that I've reduced time from 30 to 20 mins. In hindsight think it was too much light therapy too soon. It was my first time to use one and Pharox Max (bought it from Lumie) supposed to be quite strong. Was thinking of investing in a dawn simulator too and will do this. Thanks for the recommendation and your help. Caroline
