Hi

I've been using the sunray bodyclock alarm for years. Recently the fuse in the plug blew and since then I cannot turn the light down (it was on at the time). Activating the alarm/sunset function doesn't work either, the light stays on.
Lumie have said I can send it to them for a quote for repair.

I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience and whether it was fixable.

I don't really want to go to the trouble and expensive of sending it back if it's not fixable.

Thanks
Suzanne

Hi , The same thing has happened to me except it was when my bulb blew. I have replaced the bulb but cannot turn the light down. Did you send yours off for repair ? Really missing it now the dark mornings have started.

Hope you had some luck,

Karen.

I've checked with our engineer and he says it sounds like the triac has gone so unfortunately it would need to come back to us.

Not sure how long you've had yours but the Bodyclocks have a 2-year warranty so maybe you're covered. If not, this kind of repair usually costs about £20.

It makes me laugh, the number of technical queries that get posted on the forum - we've got a very nice Customer Service team you know ;)

Just thought Id let you know that I too had the same problem when my bulb and fuse blew (full house! lol)

It was within the two year warranty and Lumie fixed it really quickly and without charge.

I cant recommend their service dept highly enough.

(Maybe I should have posted this in their customer service section aswell as Im sure that every good comment would be well received!).

Me x
