As you can see, the purple is indeed moving south. My DD is in Scandinavia and it's been purple there for a couple of weeks!

Hi ya

Initially I thought this news was good and that you were moving physically further south therefore getting more light....

however, Ive now got the jist of it and ...... am realising that winter is just around the corner for all of us.

So lets gets ready to rumble...!

SAD routines at the ready ..... lets go for it (trying to be positive lol!)

Hi PurpleIvy,

This is fascinating stuff.
I live near Nottingham at the moment, but come originally from West Cumbria, which seems largely SAD-free at present.
Perhaps I should never have left home!

Purple - ;o)

why don't you take a short break in the South of France? My OH spends a lot of time out there as he's building a house. I get to go over to see him every three months or so. I'd like to go more often but my own work commitments does not allow. Over there it is soooo much brighter during the winter as the sun is just that little bit higher in the sky. Last year I went out in late November and the light level was like that of an early September day in the UK! Ryanair fly out to Carcassone quite cheaply over the winter (you can sometimes get a return flight for around £10 all in (including taxes etc!). There is a lovely B&B one of the local villages run by an English couple called Jill and Richard. My parents stayed there when they came with me to see the house that OH is building. They have a website at http://www.audemaison.com. I can fully recommend it!
