Am totally new to this. Please, do all bear with me.

My father is a polio survivor. Now, the Post Polio Syndrome has set in.

He has lived his life remarkably healthy--until a severe skin infection in one of his legs has forced him into bedrest for a week.
My soon-to-be 71 year old father is seemingly affected by SAD.

He is depressed and almost panics when the sun goes down.

Can anyone offer some solutions that may truly brighten this rather dark situation?
