Hi

I have just found this site through google and took the depression test. (I am on antidepressants, but have recently started to wonder if I have SAD)

I scored 70.

Is this really high, or about average? I don't have a clue. I am seeing my GP tomorrow re my medication, so should I mention SAD? I am always worried about self-diagnosis :?

Any help greatly appreciated

Hello,

No idea about the test but if you have been more motivated this last few weeks compared to the winter this is the best indicator! Most people have 'cleared off' from the site as they are making up for lost time doing the things they enjoy but couldn't manage over the winter. I do feel some of the dodgy rock concerts they are going to leads me to believe they are going hypomanic!

It is worth discussing with Dr although if you have a strong belief it is Sad do read Winter blues by Norman Rosenthal and look up S.A.D.A for information on the condition. There are Sad clinics you should be able to be referred to if the Dr is unsure.

Do come back if any other queries as people will be popping in from time to time!

Keeepin it real! 8)
