Topic: Does ANYONE react like this?
posted by Geordie on 2001-09-18 22:09:03

I am an above-average I.Q. male, 40, and I need an answer to a recurring problem. I get, at about 9-12, to 9-30, about ONE week of SEVERE eating, SEVERE drinking, NO to little, (and then crappy), sleep, coupled with the feeling that I'm either crawling out of my skin, want to sleep all the time, and/or want NO physical contact, even by loved ones. I have a history of migraines, so I know I have some hormonal involvement, here. But, I, (and my wife is starting to plan for these yearly episodes), have gotta get a handle on this. Other than this, life is as normal as can be, and I have no complaints.
Any Ideas?

Mine starts more around 11/1 and continues on (hasn't stopped yet and a month has gone by). I don't drink alcohol, but I want to eat (sweets and carbs) all the time and want to sleep all the time although my nighttime sleep is crappy. I don't want any physical contact with anyone and actually don't desire any type of contact with anyone! Have any extreme desire to hibernate.
