Does anyone else feel better when they listen to music?

My favourite feel good song is Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves.

I put it on really loud and sing or dance around to it.....

Any other feel good songs?

Most stuff I listen to keeps me going but while we are renting I am limited to only really listening to it while in the car (so cant jig around like you) as the walls in this hell hole are so thin you can hear a pin drop so dont want to inflict my music tastes on the neighbours. I have a multi cd player in the car and also find that the variance of the cd's can affect the way I drive. Prodidgy cd can make me drive faster and more aggressive towards anyone that might get in my way, bit scary really so should stick to my more calming cd's. Looking forward to dancing around like an idiot when we buy our new home later this year, will spare you a thought. 8)

Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In by The Fifth Dimension

-The "Let the Sunshine In" part of the song is beautiful...too short, but beautiful.

well, I meant to have like at least 6 or 7 songs here...but my mind is failing me. I need some more sleep and then I'll post more. But the one above is highly recomended. Just skip to the second half of the song if you don't like the first half (the Aquarius part). Trust me, it's different.

Pretty much anything by the Stereophonics.

Oh, and pretty much anything by Take that!

I think I am going mad though. Was just watching James Morrison's video 'its a wonderful world' and felt sad because the trees in the background were green. (ie it was obviously summer) I can't wait for summer.....its really doing my head in now.

Slightly off topic here, but how many days is it till spring?

Haven't a clue Jennifer...try not to count as it gets me suicidal!

I planted some daffodil bulbs in November and they have all started coming up. I find myself going out in the garden everyday to see how much more they have grown..... I get really excited because daffs, tulips etc are significant with spring for me...... and you think your going MAD.....lol

Stereophonics....Have a nice day.....FAB

Billy Idol.......Dancing with myself.....Double FAB I have been putting this on in the car on the way to work this week..... sets me up for the morning and the miserable woman I work with.

Suzie,

With me its blossom. I remember when i first saw it last year, I was jumping up and down in the street!

Oh, and I've worked out the spring thing...its 45 days! I hope no-one gets suicidal tendancies from that!

Ah, I've missed this forum. I wasn't too bad last year, but this year has been terrible. Its nice to talk to other people who are experiencing the same thing and don't think I'm making it up.

the beach boys always seem to cheer me up, their songs are mainly happy sounding and remind me of summertime.

I'm currently pretty hooked on a track called "smiley faces" from that new Gnarls Barkley album.

What about "You got the love" by the Source feat. Candi Staton.... usually makes me get a grip!

"Eye of the tiger" by Survivor, that makes me feel hard as nails and moreover that I can achieve anything on this earth if I set my mind to it.......and then the song ends and all this disappears as quick as a fresh piss in the sand!

Bryan Adams- "summer of 69"

All depends on mood really

mmmmmm obviously Sandi Thom isn't old enough to remember the battle of the beanfield (nu age travellers beaten up by Police near Stonehenge) The Metropolitan Police's response to Conflict's illegal gig (Create a riot) or the Red Punks in Berlin fighting the fascists Or indeed wondering whether the National Front or Klu Klux Klan were gonna turn up to the gigs or if your favourite band were going to be arrested for the lyrics they produced. Then there was the in-fighting with Anarchist extremists verus the pacifist e.t.c. I managed to dodge a total of three riots and vividly remember minding the door as the national front threatened to fire bomb the pub the gig because the band had a black bass player...........

I remember being an Anarcho punk (early eighties) and sometimes I felt like I was in a warzone!

Nice rose-tinted song tho......... 8)

Just the other day while talking with Hubby, we were sharing our first experience with records. I was flabbergasted when I realized the irony of the first record I ever owned. I was in preschool and begged my parents to buy me the 45, 'Seasons in the Sun'!

Sometimes I randomly feel really anxious about leaving my house so need my ipod on full blast as emotional support, especially good if its something really upbeat like the Kooks.
