I picked up my light box yesterday and started this morning with my first session. I noticed that I'm getting an odd ache in the centre of my forehead, between my eyes, almost like a throbbing.

I also don't really feel refreshed after the session. I feel sleepy. Of course, I usually do feel sleepy most of the day until after 6 pm so that's "normal" for me. I guess I was just expecting to have more energy after the session. I'm guessing this will take some time to see some effects.

Any thoughts on the weird forehead ache?

How long did you use it for? I would recommend you build up to an appropriate amount of time that is suitable for you. I think maybe you have used it for too long and that is what has given you the pain in your forhead. You should feel the benefit of the light box after about 3-4 days.

Hope you manage to sort something out with it.

I used it for a total of 25 minutes today but felt the ache in my forehead within the first few minutes. It has subsided about 50% since I finished the session but there's still a definite ache there.

Thanks for your reply.

I felt odd the first day, ill the next day and then off my rocker for the next few days which was fantastic but it subsided after that to a normal level unfortunately!
Not sure how you're using the light and which type it is but try looking past it or over it while eating/watching telly/reading etc.
Good luck

I'm using the day-light product by Uplift Technologies.

I am using it according to the manufacturer's instructions, sitting about a foot away, with the light tilted slightly down and I'm not looking at it. I was reading a book at the time.

Okay, it's day three with the light box and now I'm feeling panicky and suicidal. I've had to ask my boyfriend to come home from work because I don't feel safe to be alone. I haven't felt like this in a VERY long time.

Is this normal?

Oh, and all I can think about is my next meal. I'm so hungry all the time.

I wd. be lying if said the litebox didnt give me headaches now and again but i suppose it's a form of medication in the end and you just have to decide if the side affects are worse than the symptoms it is meant to treat
sorry i can't be more positive than than!

Thanks ally may. Just so happy to have some feedback.

Yes, I guess it is just like a med. I'll keep that in mind.
