HI ALL
IM TRACY IM 31 FROM CAMBRIDGESHIRE
IM NOT A WINTER PERSON JUST RECENTLY I HAVE BEEN REALLY DOWN AND DEPRESSED...
ESPECAILLY WHEN IT RAIN.S...
IM A STAY AT HOME MUM TO A 9MTH OLD BABY GIRL WHO I LOVE TO BITS I HAVE A PARTNER JAMES WHO WORKS FULL-TIME...
SOME TIMES WHEN A GET UP IN THE MORNING I FEEL SO SAD AND I DONT KNOW WHY CANT EXPLAIN IT ....
IT DIDNT DAWN ON ME THAT MAYBE I COULD BE SUFFERING FROM SEASONAL DISORDER NOT UNTIL MY PARTNER PICKED UP ON IT....
ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT....
AS YOU CAN AMAGINE A LITTLE UU SURE WHAT TO DO ?????

Hi Tracy
have a read through the posts.
Then talk to your doctor (you might get lucky :) )
and most importantly get a lightbox.

Yes deffinantly speak to your doctor, my advice would be to describe your symtoms as best you can. There was only one doctor at my surgery that even had an idea of sad and he wasn't convinced at the beginning that I had it (even though I would say I suffer badly from it)....... Doctors can be ignorant. At the end of the day light therapy is extreamly safe, so as the above post I would recomend you buy a light box too you have nothing to lose.... When I realised I had SAD I was over the moon because I suffered for many year with the disorder and finally knowning what I had made me able to treat it winters are not as bad now with my light box and hopfully in the future they might be able to cure it..

I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY DOCTOR ON MONDAY.....
I JUST DONT WANT MY BABY GIRL THINKING MUMMY ALWAYS LOOKS SAD
THAT HURTS ME THE MOST ....

yes it is hard.
my boys are 7 and 4. in the winter i explain to them
that winter makes me feel very sad but that i will be happy in the summer.
i keep reminding them that they are not making me sad but
that they help me to get through it.

YES IT IS HARD WHEN YOU HAVE CHILDREN TO CONSIDER I KNOW I WILL GET THREW THIS AND TALKING IS A GREAT HELP....
