How do you convince an elderly gent that he is suffering when he is so low that he can't grasp whats going on? The family has purchased a light for him but he refuses to use it and he is suspicious that he has something else we're not telling him about. GP not being very helpful and just suggests we get him out more

Hi Hilary,

Depends on what he's like. One thing that totally conviced me was the book The winter Blues. If he's a reader, try buying him that. It conviced my wife too, she was skeptical.

Good luck,

Karl
