Hello Petals,

Your posting might have been missed by some as I only glanced at it by accident. I suppose one of the best ways to find out if you have S.A.D is to read about other peoples experiences and medical opinion in a book. Norman Rosenthal does a book called Winter Blues which will include mostly everything about it. You could contact SADA the association which gives out information on sad and if you look in here from time to time and put in a fuller posting on your symtoms people can support you and offer their own opinion. It's anonymous so say what you feel and you don't need to be nervous even that nasty Siddy isn't a complete monster! Christmas can be a bad time as people expect you to be celebrating when you don't feel like it so do drop in and welcome...........

Sorry Petals I didn't see your post either, it was a bit hidden away up at the top. I'm pretty new to this forum too, no need to be nervous. You might find this helpful, it's a checklist of symptoms (you don't have to have all of them to have SAD). http://www.outsidein.co.uk/sadsympt.htm

siddeney are you sure you aren't siddy in disguise?
