I'm writing a research paper (due wednesday! *bangs head on desk* ) and I need to have an interview to get full credit.

I decided to interview a SAD sufferer, and I thought it would be fairly weird to interview myself, so I thought that one of you could maybe answer me.

All I need is a name to call you by and detailed professional-souding answers to the following questions:

1. When were you diagnosed with SAD, and what convinced you to go get checked for it? What symptoms did/do you display?

2. Did the doctor or psychologist know as much as he should have known about SAD?

3. What forms of treatment do you use for SAD, and how well do you feel they work for you?

4. Do you think that SAD has really made it's way into the public eye? Why or why not?

5. How much of an effect does SAD have on your life on a day to day basis?

6. How much of an effect does SAD have on your long-term life goals, such as your career, relationships, where you live, how you live, etc.

7. Anything else you want to address about SAD, anything at all. Please then give me the questions your statements would be answering.

Thank you very very very very much.

1: I think I have had it since I was 18. Never asked a g.p. about it.
But I get the following symptoms: Depression in winter eg december, january, and lifting when the clocks go forward. Also cravings for chips etc when the dark nights are here.
3: Lightbox :contols carb crvings and st johns wort controls mood swings.
4: No but it should do in time.
5: A lot between Nov to Feb but none between april and early oct.
6: Not so much but I do feel having SAD is inconvenient.
7: Just that there should be a wider awareness of it as some people might have it and not know it.

Thank you so much.

I don't be to be ingrateful, but I'm looking for a more detailed response, and I just found out by reading the rubric that I need contact information such as a phone number, address, or as the sheet says, "What you would find on a business card".

Still, thank you for helping out.

Well, I could turn in the interview late tommorow, if anybody else comes by here!

I also finished the paper, and I may post it here later. It's 10 pages (single-spaced), and I just wanted to see some of your opinions on it if any of you have the time to read a report of that length. We probably won't get them back for a while, because the teacher needs to grade about 80 of those. I had to stay up till 1 AM to finish it last night, but amazingly i still feel fine today, if not better than average. Still in that rare "I actually WANT to do yardwork!" mood.
