Hi, my name is John and I live in darkest Middlesbrough. Like a few others out there I havent been diagnosed as suffering from SAD but what I,ve read about it lately, it all seems to fit. I certainly suffer from most if not all of the symptoms on and off.
I have worked shifts for all my adult life and the lack of daylight and the disruption to my sleep pattern can be very depressing to me. I know a lot of my workmates suffer from the sleep disruption but until now I never realised how important the lack of light can be.
I am looking at buying one of these lightboxes for home. I plan to get back to the forum and let you know how I get on.
I,d appreciate any help or advice anyone might have.
Cheers

I don't know if you have contacted SADA but they are a good source of info. Norman Rosenthals book 'winter blues' is standard reading. If you are more specific with your symptoms or problems people are more likely to reply to these queries. Keep well,
