I'm sure this question must have come up before but haven't been able to find the answer on this site. I was just about to order my first lightbox when realised there was a choice between Standard Broad Spectrum and Daylight Spectrum, what is the difference?

Thanks

Hello,
It's just different light spectrum characteristics ! One tries to mimic daylight i.e similar levels of uv, red and blue bands.
In 'real life' I found the standard broad spectrum bulbs a slightly 'warmer' light and are supposed to be be slightly more lux and just prefer the light they give out.

Hi there,

I work for Outside In and noticed your post.

The daylight bulbs are 'closer' in colour to daylight so are very good for colour matching and some people prefer the light.

However, if you do decide to go for daylight, you will need to spend 25% longer with the unit than if you had standard broad spectrum.

All bulbs are UV free.

Hope thats of some help,

Maddy

Maddy,
Thanks for the helpful response! I'd never realized there was a difference. Anonymous, thank you for that post. Interesting!
