Hi,

I am relatively new to the SAD concept although I am sure it has affected me most of my life.

I have yet to invest in a lightbox but hope to this year. I have been reading all of the different questions and no one has mentioned exercising while using the light therapy. Can this be done and still be effective?

I have a treadmill and placing the lightbox in front while I do my walking seems ideal to me. Does anyone know if this will still give me the benefits I am seeking?

Thanks for any input,

Lori

Hello one and all,

I am a personal trainer and am about to invest in a light box. In answer to LORI'S question re exercising infront of the light box I can only suggest that it is probably going to do her the world of good. You will benefit from the physiological effects of aerobic exercise coupled with full spectrum light which will enhance feelings of elation..(endorphins etc..). I have an added suggestion. while exercising why dont you listen to some birdsong on your CD. I believe that this will trigger a link to the good old summer time and will no doubt lift your mood even further.

All the best and good luck
