Im wondering whether or not to try Lumie Clear, all the reviews i have read have been positive, all the trials i have followed on youtube have been successful and people seem to have nothing but good to say about it! Can any product be that good??

Im a 17 year old student, my life is stressful and my skin is quite oily which is what i contribute my acne to i guess, im extremely shy and i just want to have clear skin!.

I dont wear make up, i dont do facial treatments and i dont do face masks etc, i wash with non perfume soap and warm water and then pat my face dry with a towel!
Why do i get acne?!

I heard about this product and i have researched it for a few months now following threads and reading about it in forums, it seems to work but it is a lot of money, money that i really dont have! I'd have to save up for a good 4/5 Months to afford this product and be able to pay my bills aswell...

So i guess what im really asking is:

Is it worth buying? Does it work? Is it as amazing as people say?

Hi, it sounds like you're in the same situation I was when I started using the Lumie and it's literally the best thing I've ever tried (I have tried pretty much everything short of Roaccutane and retinoid gel).

In answer to your questions...

Does it work? Well, it did for me - I now have totally clear skin after 10 years of acne that antibiotics, spot treatments and all sorts of skincare routines couldn't shift.

Is it worth buying? Yes, if purely for the excellent returns policy! Buy it, try it for 2 weeks and if it doesn't work then call Lumie and they'll try to trouble-shoot for you before offering you £129 (I think) of your money back. You should see some results within 2 weeks if you're going to see them at all, so you can either look forward to another couple of months of continuing improvement or send the Lumie back :).

Is it as amazing as people say? It depends on your skin. Some people have great experiences with Lumie Clear and I can personally vouch for its effectiveness - I never thought I'd have totally clear skin! Other people will get less than perfect results, and others might not see results at all (although this *might* be down to unknown agitating factors like stress, diet, or irritation from cosmetic products which prevent the Lumie from working until they're addressed). Either way, I think the returns policy means that it's really worth giving it a go!

Also - you might find that the soap is part of your problem. Soap tends to be alkaline whereas your skin is slightly acidic to help limit the growth of bacteria, so by reducing the acidity you could be lowering its defenses. You could try a Ph-neutral soap but, as the chemicals used to make soap stick together in bar form can also make it stick together in your pores, an entirely different product could be a better idea. Just avoid anything harsh or drying (e.g. most acne washes) - I used to like Aqueous Cream and now I just use water and the Lumie :).

We posted this on another thread recently but it seems like people don't know about the 30-day trial??

People are understandably cautious about spending nearly £150 on something that may not work. The good news is, you have a 30-day trial period when you buy direct from Lumie.

Most people notice a difference well within this time so if after, say, two weeks your skin is no better then PLEEEEASE give us a ring! It might be that we can offer some tips for use and we do look at each case individually. If you're one of the unlucky ones that Lumie Clear doesn't work for, then at the end of the trial period you can return it to us for a refund (less £20).

We can also arrange for you to pay in three instalments if that helps - you'd have to order by phone to sort this out though.

Hope that helps,
Lumie
