I already have a Pharos box, thinking about getting a visor. What puts me off is that they are only 1000 lux (I thought the light had to be 10000 to work?

The Light Visor delivers much lower Light levels because the light from a Light visor is directly over the eye, (direct retinal illumination) the Lux levels can't be as strong otherwise the eye would squint up and the light would be unable to get through to the back of the eye.

1000 Lux is the basic Solarmax Light Visor, this has six led's one would need at least an hour to get benefits, the batteries are built in the head band, where as the Deluxe Light Visor gets relief in 30 minutes approx for the average person, as this has twelve led's. Deluxe Visor comes in a neat carry bag, the unit has a light intensity controller too, the batteries are in a separate battery pack which you can clip to your waistband, this makes the head piece lighter than the solarmax.

Hope this helps

I have a visor and its fantastic. I wear it for an hour in the mornings while I do a few jobs around the house. It doesn't interfere with anything I do and means I get that extra light without any hassle at all. Its easy to use, lightweight and does the job perfectly. And the staff team have been helpful when I had queries about how long to charge it for. Brilliant!Karen G
