I suffer from crippling depression - which leaves me with no motivation. I've had some success with 5HTP supplements (3x50mg/day), St John's Wort (3x300mg/day), agnus castus (2x500mg/day), and starflower oil 3x1000mg/day). [Edit: I have just dropped the starflower down to 2x1000mg/day and introduced fish oil (180mgEPA+120mgDHA) 3x1000mg/day].
When my depression is bad I am unable to exercise (in the same way that SAD folk are unable to climb out of bed). This is horrific because exercise helps me more than any one thing.
I have just bought a lightbox - and am hoping that it helps.
I am keen to try other things [and have just noticed an interesting post on hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis].
