I`m heading to France in October and I`m wondering if anyone has used their lightbox abroad, I know there are voltage issues but would like to know if anyone has got round this. Cheers.

You should be OK with a normal adaptor in France, I took mine to Germany last October and managed just fine, apart from the fact that it took half my case and the walking boots the other half! I got a GOlite this year and it has adaptors so will be fine for Germany next month. So much more compact as well.

I know good old Norman Rosenthal takes his on his travels with him. He was over here doing a talk at the SADA conference and brought it with him.

I bought a visor for travelling and for use at home as my lightbox lives on my desk at work. They aren't cheap but it's very easy to pack and has LED's not bulbs so less chance of breakage and no need to replace them every year or so.

My GOlite has LEDs so is good for travel and also I knock it off the desk! Will pay for itself as the bulbs won't ever need to be replaced.
