Hi all, I've been lurking in the shadows as I do come SAD season. I have early onset, beginning of Sept. this year I felt the "bees in my brain" starting to scramble me as the fog rolled in. First I'd like to ask if anyone gets an oddball symptom that I get every season. Does anyone get a really super oily face during their depression?
So onto the lady I know who doesn't get SAD anymore. She described at least 10 yrs of it hitting her like clockwork in mid to late October. She'd get horribly tired, have a radical personality change and need to go cry to "release" as she put it. This is a high energy, upbeat person. When I asked her if she did anything to make it go away, she didn't think so at first, but then remembered that she moved to the Okanagan in BC for years and that seemed to break the cycle. Though she eventually moved back to Ontario where she used to get it, it didn't come back. So it seems SAD going away does happen to a lucky few. We can only hope.
Hi Jeanne, Oily face? Totally! It's like being a teenager all over again! Amazing story about the lady whose symptoms went away... Something to dream about I guess...
