I just got my Lumie Elite last week, but it's not waking me up properly.

I have set it to 30 min sunrise, with an Mp3 set to play. I first tried one track, but slept through it. Then I joined 3 tracks together. Still slept through it!

It seems from what I've read that there is no way of increasing the volume, and level 4 just isn't that loud.

What is worse, is that it automatically shuts off after 20 mins! So most days this week I've woken up to my backup alarm - and the Lumie is sitting there with the light off and no music playing.

Help - I really want to throw out my old beeping alarm and wake up more naturally!

Hi, is there any chance you could put the light closer to your bed? I had a similar problem to you, but when I moved the light closer I had no more problems waking up.

Thanks for the tip. The light is on a stand right next to the bed. I'm going to try moving it further forward so it is closer to the centre of my field of vision.

Unfortunately I often turn on my side when I'm sleeping, so sometimes I'll wake up with my back to the light.

I'm a heavy sleeper, so even after getting used to it I doubt I will wake up to the light alone most days.

Hi Nuns,

We are currently upgrading the software for Elite in response to customer feedback and with the next version you will hopefully be able to set the wake-up volume yourself. Please give the Lumie Careline a ring on 01954 780500 and they'll be able to give you an update.

Hope that helps!

Is with this update also the 20min shut off extended?
I also have a problem with the volume from the "going to sleep" mode. This volume always takes the same volume as from the "wake up" mode (which is way too loud to go to sleep)

I have a dawn simulator but I have to set two other alarm clocks too, or I would never wake up! The light just makes it easier to wake up once the alarms have gone off, ie not waking up in a dark room!
