I am currently taking 20mg of Cirpalex, is it safe to use light therapy in addition or could this result in some sort of overload!

I've never had any problems. It's sometimes contraindicated with St john's wort.

Thanks. It's just that I got a lamp and started using it and now I have a headache and I woke up in the night feeling stressed up a bit like when I had to start/up my dose of Cipralex. I am probably being paranoid.

It's not only acceptable, it's recommended as light therapy plus anti-depressants is more effective than either one alone.

It all depends which medication you are taking, I use an older anti depressant and have to limit the amount of time I use my lamp. Most of the more modern tablets are ok.
