Hi all. I have suffered from SAD for at least 15 years and have general depression & anxiety which I am on meds for.

I have recently started taking vitamin D and going for more walks especially when its sunny and was just wondering if there is anything else I can do?

Unfortunately I cannot afford a Light as they are so expensive!! It frustrates me that we don't get any help with these and that why are they so expensive? I feel we are easy targets as we dont choose to have SAD yet we must make oodles of cash in order to afford one!

Lately has been awful as its non stop rain and dark clouds, I have been going to bed at 9 most nights and Im still struggling alot. I feel as though I have become obsessed with the sun and am constantly checking the weather forecast to see if Im going to be happy or not lol

so yeah basically any advice? thanks :)

Have you tried ebay. there are often good quality second hand SAD lights for less than half normal price. Could be worth a try. But do research first and only bid for lights that are from reputable manufacturers.

I bought a light box from e-bay about 3 years ago which cost me about 40 pounds and it works well. It was one of the old wooden ones but did the job ;-)
