I found something that really works...L-tyrosine along with Vit C and B6 taken on an empty stomach, is converted into Dopamine....which is obviously what my body was lacking because now I feel GREAT! Works better than Wellbutrin did for SAD. It may also reduce ADHD and Social Anxiety.

I know winter can be pure hell for those with SAD...this is worth a try. I just started it 4 days ago and I feel like a new person. It truly is a miracle!

I feel more positive, motivated, and just an overall sense of well-being. The stomach problems went away immediately. I feel like I did when I lived in the Caribbean again.

I take 1000 mg in the morning and 500 mg in the afternoon. Be sure you take with Vit C and B6 on an empty stomach.

Let me know if it works for you.

Just be cautious about taking supliments on an empty stomach, unless thats what you have been told to do by a professional.

I'm just concerned because some suppliments need at least some food, (piece of bread for example) just to absorb stomach acid from the digestion of the tablets. I'm not a medical expert but that is something that I have always been told.

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid (a building block for protein, hormones, and neurotransmitters) Tyrosine is necessary for our bodies to make dopamine (the neurotransmitter that sends your brain reward and motivation messages) In order to get the benefits of tyrosine you can't take it with other proteins/amino acids or they will link together forming compounds other than dopamine. So taking with crackers is fine but no protein.

Tyrosine basically has the same effect on the brain as Wellbutrin... but without all the side effects and it's natural.
There is a lot of information on the web about it, but most of it is very technical and can be difficult to read without a background in medicine. Here's a simple forum packed full of positive testimonies:

Yes the human body/mind/soul is astoundingly complex.

I'd be wary of taking medical advice from someone I don't know on a forum. I do belong to other forums where it's not permitted and for good reason.

Testimonies on a website can be written by anyone. My aunt rents out a flat in France and I recognise the testimonies given by her friends!

I smell and agenda here...

Oh yeah, this is not a real forum, but a business website who's intent is to get you to buy their products.

My mistake.

It's a one bedroom flat, four floors up in the old town in Nice. It's £275-£325 per week or thereabouts. I think there might be laundry/service charges as well. With Owners Direct

I've become a part-time postman (officially 1000-1430, currently getting paid to come in at 0900) in the last couple of weeks and being outdoors five days a week for 4 hours is having a really positive effect on my eneergy levels!

On my days off, when I typically stay indoors, I feel noticeably more tired, despite using my Brightspark for several hours.

Its a little manic first thing, bundling my route together, but I'm loving it so far.

Given that Royal Mail are actively recruiting part-timers now, which will suit us SAD sufferers, I recommend you do a job search at the RM site ;)
