when it says 10,000 lux at so many cm does that mean how far away it needs to be from you to get that effect? just the little one Im lookin at says 20cm and Im thinking thats pritty close to have to be!

10000 lux at 20cm sounds quite poor, you would need the lightbox right in your face!

My Brightspark (by computer) is 10000 lux at 30cm.

My Pharos Max is 10000 lux at 78cm and is still one of the most powerful on the market, I believe.

You can sit further away, but it will mean that you will need longer light therapy time to get the benefits. In reality, I am probably ~50cm away from my Brightspark, so I use it about 3 hours per day as a topup.
