On the brink of sending my Elite 300 back. I'm still disappointed since purchase. I've now noticed some issues. I was trying to use it as a lamp and leave it on while I work on my PC, but about every 2hrs or so the lamp just turns off, is this normal? It's not an alarm and it's not a sunset it just goes off.

Also at night I'd put on the rain track as it's relaxing (ONLY because I forked out £20 on external speakers for the Elite as the inbuilt ones are simple piss poor) but wouldn't set the alarm as I didn't need it in the morning. I'd press the + - together to dim the display and the track would play. I'd wake in the morning and the track would be off. However recently I do the same but now wake in the morning and the Lumie is still playing the track.

I'm so disappointed in this, it's never woken me up properly, for the price the speaker quality really is bad and no DAB radio?

I think I'll be calling them this week to arrange a return. Although I still have to work out how to close the top of the box as part of the cardboard won't fit back in it.

I'm pretty sure it's faulty now. Last night I did the same thing and woke up at the rain sound had turned off. But I also noticed last night that the display is all washed out and it's hard to even seen the display anymore.

Won't be buying another Lumie product when I send this back.

Sending it back. It's all boxed ready to go. I did a factory reset which fixed the fade issue, for one day it worked, 2nd day the alarm never turned on. I was woke by the dog instead.

What's annoyed me more is Lumie haven't even offered to send a courier telling me I have to sort that out myself. Even Ebuyer sends a courier out if you're returning something that is faulty.

At £149 this is defiantly not good quality. I also want to know if I'll get my money back from the courier service I organise.

Oh no! I've just ordered this product direct from Lumie and after your feedback am wondering if I should cancel my order!

If you have, order some external speakers. The inbuilt ones are BAD. So bad, the wave and rain sounds are headache inducing without a set of external speakers. They don't even have to be mega expensive ones.

I got theses

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/118487

But these would do

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/129430

For the short time it would work, the Lumie, these made the sounds much more relaxing.

Now with this snow it's even more annoying. My 30 day trial was up today but I can't send it back due to the snow and my road being closed. Lumie have annoyed me not organising the courier. Won't be buying anything from them again or any of their products.

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum. I just got my Bodyclock Elite 300 as a late xmas pressie this week. Previously owned the Advanced model which i loved - esp. the white noise which is good for blocking out noises - despite the shoddy build quality, and the annoyingly bright LED.

I just set up my Elite 300 last night and initially as quite impressed with the features it has over the Advanced, such as:

- dimmable LED, which is a MAJOR improvement over the Elite model.

- the radio which is quite good quality ( DAB would be better of course);

- Meditainment tracks which are great;

- audio in / audio out sockets (can put my Senheiser noise cancellation headphones on to listen to the Meditainment if the neighbours get to noisy);

- the decent selection of Wake up sounds and other sounds (the rain is a good alternative to the white noise which is terrible on this model (see below)).

However, after only one night of use I have noticed some significant problems:

- The white noise on the Elite 300, which is a very important feature for me, is rubbish! It sounds horribly muted compared to the crispness of the Advanced Model, and it has some VERY noticeable and annoyingly loud 'blip' noises about 40 seconds into the track. This basically makes the white noise impossible to fall to sleep to. Very irritated by this;

- When i set the volume for the wake up track before i go to bed (I like it at about 10 to block out peripheral noises), it re-sets it back to 4 when it comes back on in the morning! For example, when my 'Dawn Chorus' came on this morning, i could barely hear it! The manual even says it is meant to remember the volume you have set it to, so why does it keep re-setting it ?!?!

- Volume jumps right back to 4 after the Sunset fade out has finished, which completely wakes me up. Very annoying;

- You cannot use the sound options when the Alarm is set (i.e the A button is down). This is annoying, because if i'm still not asleep when a Meditainment or MP3 track finishes, or i wake up in the night and need to listen to something to send me off to sleep again, I cannot listen to anything else unless I turn the Alarm off - when you turn the alarm off, the LED light comes full on, dazzling you and waking you up! You should be able to operate these controls even with the A button down.

From what i've read here, there are also some major issues with playing tracks from the SD card (i.e only able to play one track).

I still like the product, but i'm hoping Lumie have enough pride in their product and care enough about their customers to release a firmware upgrade to deal with these issues.

I will be speaking to customer support on the phone today to express these concerns, but in case it falls on deaf ears I thought i'd post it here as well.

You can legally send it back under the sales of goods act and they should replace it. I'll be doing that with mine now the snow has cleared.
