Hi There...I live on the Isle of Skye in Scotland...normally I love it but during the winter I just feel so down and lethargic...I have always suspected I have SAD and haver a light box but would really appreciate hearing from other people and maybe start a little support group

Hi Christopher i can relate to what you say. I will say one important thing and that is the word sad is a label put on people who get depressed when the sun i`snt shining. Same as bi-polar etc. The advice i can give you is this-look for beauty in all you see,it is you who are keeping yourself down and you can pick yourself up again. Tell yourself you will not waste any more days dreading the hours. Find a way to focus on all that is good and nothing that makes you feel bad. The seasons change aim at learning to love whatever the day brings. I can tell you this as i lost so many years, until i realized and understood just who was keeping me down(it was me)i now see so much more. Just a hint as i could go on forever about it.
