Hi all.
I hope you're all making through this tail end of winter. I've had three full sun days where I live, and I feel more human than I have in months. While I was soaking up the sun on my front porch yesterday, I thought of a new way to look at SAD.
Try this out.....
Having SAD just means we're solar-powered. That means we're better for the environment!
Cheers,
Koko

lol well thats one way to look at it!
Last week it was lovely here, very bright sunny days and I felt on top of the world! so happy it was almost crazy lol
This week has been dull and cloudy, no sign of the sun at all! and I've never felt worse!
I think its because last week I was on a high and have seemed to of come back down to earth with a thud!
I am totally obsessed with the weather at the moment and constantly check for weather updates, its driving me potty haha

Thanks, Freedom.
I know just what you mean. I actually logged on today to ask if anyone else was having a tough week. I'd been on a steady rise for about a month and then the last two days have been just awful. Soooooo weepy and soooo tired. It's supposed to be sunny here today, so I'm crossing my fingers that my gloom will lift. I'll cross my fingers for you, too.

Hi Koko,

I love the thought of being solar powered. That really made me smile, so thank you. This week has been terrible. The weather here has been great lately and now it's miserable again and so am I. Come on summer!

Hi Ilona.
Sorry you had a tough week, I sympathize. It's been heavy and gray here for days :( My husband is constantly amazed how directly my mood is affected by the weather. Yesterday he said, "Boy, it's like you're linked to it. If it's gray I know you're going to be down--if it's sunny, I know you'll start to bounce back." Come on sun! I did plant some seeds this weekend(lots of peppers and tomatoes) so that helped me feel a bit better. What do you do to make yourself feel better?

I like going for walks down by the river. Even if it is gloomy out the ducks make me laugh. My boyfriend is the same as your husband. He knows exactly what I'm going to be like, and as he get up and goes out for a run before me, he'll give me a weather update.

One thing that I'm surprised I have found really helps is we got some tropical fish at Christmas. I don't know if it's something to do with the lamp in the tank or just that they are so mesmerizing but watching them swim about really calms me and stops me panicking.

I'm going to work on my garden this weekend so hopefully the weather will be as lovely as it has been today!
