-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is no decent full spectrum bulb on the market. There are bulbs that claim to be daylight simulation but they are a poor substitute for fluorescent tubes. The light level and UV content are too low to have any real medical benefit. If you are seeking a treatment for SAD, the best solution is still a lightbox such as the Philips Brightlight. Full specrum tubes such as the Lightbox Daystar can compliment this treatment but daylight bulbs are next to useless. Information on the Daystar is available at www.sadbox.co.uk

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Kathy, Ecozone say they do full spectrum lightbulbs - low energy too. This is a catalogue thing rather than in London, though they may have a shop or outlet of some kind in the capital.
Anyway try looking at www.ecozone.co.uk/acatalog & see what you think. Whatever Jim says! Sharon

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think the one at EcoZone is actually a flourescent designed in such a way as to replace a regular bulb.
Are the Chromalux & Bulbrite ones, based on Neodymium, not much good then?
