Light visors

Light visor treatment for SAD - a multicentre study
Psychiatry Res. 1993 Jan;46(1):29-39
The effectiveness of Light Visor therapy was evaluated in 105 subjects across 5 centres. They produced a similar frequency of antidepressant response to that reported in previous studies (of light boxes).

Light visors were developed in the US National Institute of Health (where SAD was first diagnosed and treated). Research in major hospitals and research centres globally have found that light visors are as effective as 10,000lux lightboxes.
