• Desklamp is an unobtrusive lightbox that's certified to the Medical Device directive and delivers the standard 10,000lux at 22cm.

• Bright light is proven to be an effective treatment for SAD and using Desklamp every day over the autumn and winter will make a big difference to symptoms such as tiredness, over-eating and a lack of energy and motivation.

• Desklamp is the obvious choice for use at work; it looks like a 'normal' light so no-one need know that you're getting light therapy at your desk. The high-contrast light is also great for reading and task lighting.

• The LEDs used in Desklamp have extra light output in the blue part of the spectrum that's known to be particularly effective at regulating circadian rhythms. Touch-control lighting offers four light levels making it a versatile light therapy option.

• The diffuser is also removeable. With it off, recommended treatment time is just 30 minutes; or leave it on for softer spread of light and use it for around 60 minutes. There's no harm in having Desklamp switched on all day; alternatively, if you're away from your desk you can make up the time by dipping in throughout the day.

• Just as sunlight naturally makes you feel good, getting extra bright light when you're stuck indoors is proven to put you in a better mood, boost alertness and help you to feel more awake.

FREE delivery

If it's going to an address in mainland UK or Northern Ireland then we'll take care of the delivery costs.

All light therapy products are sent by courier on a standard service (delivery within three working days). We'll email to let you know when it's on the way and include tracking information. Small items like bulbs are sent using Royal Mail First Class post.

If we receive your order during office hours it will usually be dispatched the same day,maybe the next working day if we're busy, so please allow four working days for your order to arrive.

Need it fast?

Choose Express Delivery when you checkout and pay £6 for courier delivery the next working day.

If we receive your order during office hours it will leave the same day and be with you the next working day; please don't leave it until late in the day to order as our couriers usually collect around 4pm. If you really do need it quickly and want to be sure, it's best to give us a ring.

These delivery times apply to the UK mainland and Northern Ireland. Deliveries to some areas such as the islands of Scotland, Scilly Isles, Isle of Man and Channel Islands may take a little longer.

Disclaimer: Once your parcel has been collected from our warehouse the courier - not Lumie - is responsible for getting it to you within the stated time. Please be aware that during busy periods, like Christmas, they may not always be able to deliver when they say they will!

Returns and our 30-day Home Trial

Our 30-day Home Trial  gives you the chance to try Desklamp for yourself and make sure that it's right for you. This is one of the big advantages of buying direct from Lumie.

• 30-day Home Trial is available in the UK only.
• If at any time up to 30 days from the date of delivery you decide to return something, please contact us first.
• If a unit is returned scratched or damaged we will tell you what the problem is and may have to charge for any repair at a cost of £20/hour plus materials. We will not charge for minor problems.
• The unit should be returned in its original packing if possible.
• This does not affect your statutory rights.

Most people notice an improvement in their symptoms after just a few days, so please give us a call if you feel that Desklamp isn't having an effect and we'll try to help.If you decide to return your light, we will arrange to have it collected (mainland only). As soon as we receive it we will refund all your money.We do not refund express delivery charges.

Cancellation

By law, you also have a 'cooling-off' period, the right to cancel any purchase and receive a full refund by e-mailing or writing to us up to seven working days the day after you receive it. To return any item, please send it securely - the original packaging is best if you have it - to our usual address. Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us.

I have been using the old version of this lamp for about 5 years and have no idea how I got through previous winters without it. I turn the light to face me when I first start working at my desk in the morning, and when that session is over, I angle it down and it works brilliantly as a desk lamp. Very well made, well-balanced, sturdy, bulbs last for at least eighteen months and does what it says on the tin. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Having been very happy with my previous desklamp,i'm eagerly awaiting this lighter,taller version.Lamp is sturdy and bulbs last a long time.I use mine mainly for painting where its bulb provides an excellent simulation of natural light for colour work. Highly recommended.
