Four years of light therapy at Leeds Uni

January is traditionally a low point in the academic year as many students deal with the double-whammy of exam pressure combined with classic winter blues symptoms like low energy, lack of motivation and tiredness. Fortunately, there's some light relief at Leeds University Union where Lumie is brightening up the Light Cafe with Arabica and Desklamp.

Now in its fourth year, the project is running until 19 January and aims to improve students’ health and well-being whether they're revising or taking a break. "Our pop-up light café is now a much-anticipated fixture at Leeds University Union," says Chloe Sparks, Welfare Officer. "The students really appreciate the chance to study and relax with the Lumie lights.

Even if you’re not affected by the winter blues, sitting with a bright light for just 30 minutes can make you feel more alert and energised, ideal for helping you to crack on with work or revision. Check out our full range of light therapy for the office or study
