We don't want to shout about it but...

Lumie has just been awarded a Quiet Mark, the international symbol that recognises efforts to reduce noise from household appliances.

Quiet Mark, a not-for-profit trading arm of the Noise Abatement Society charity, was formed in response to public complaints received by the society’s 24/7 national helpline, concerning the volume of excessive noise made by household tools and appliances which invade the fabric of everyday life.

Poppy Elliott, Managing Director of Quiet Mark, said “We are delighted to award Lumie with the Quiet Mark and welcome the brand into the Quiet Mark family. With the mornings getting ever darker at this time of the year, Lumie offers a revolutionary way to wake. The beautiful Bodyclock wake up light offers a sunrise in your bedroom that leaves you feeling refreshed from a great night’s sleep, without the shock of a shrill alarm call that interrupts your sleeping patterns.”

Lumie CEO, Jonathan Cridland, explains: “Instead of being startled from your deep sleep by a loud alarm noise, Bodyclock dawn simulators get you off to a great start by waking you with gradually increasing light. You start to stir naturally so you really wake up feeling refreshed. The process is silent though you can opt for sounds to follow the sunrise if you like, such as a bird's chorus or waves.”

The international mark of approval programme and system of support for consumers and industry was developed to help transform the aural environment for the benefit of all.
